In May, I celebrate National Foster Care Awareness month by walking with Foster Care Alumni of America to connect with my community, empower one another using our combined voice, and build relationships to help people in and from care thrive. I entered care when I was twelve and emanicapated 6 years later when I was 18, that is when I found my forever family. With their support and love I was able to thrive in my adult years. I wish the same for everyone of my brothers and sisters in and from care. Foster care my have effected or touched your life in some way. We understand!
