UNICEF is an non-governmental organization that works to improve people's, especially children's, lives and to help give them a fair chance in life. UNICEF hopes to achieve a world where there are zero child deaths from preventable causes.
TWCP UNICEF is participating, once again, in an annual fundraiser called Trick or Treat for UNICEF to raise money to help children around the world who need more than candy this time of the year. This year, as multiple disasters threaten children’s lives, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF donations will support UNICEF’s emergency relief work for the world's most vulnerable children. The following can give you an idea of what the money will be used for:
$5: Buys five days of food for a malnourished child.
A soccer ball for children in refugee camps.
Provide children with 13 doses of measles vaccine.
A UNICEF kit to give 1 family clean water to drink.
Buys a year's worth of clean, safe water for a child. OR A box of 5 mosquito nets to protect kids from deadly malaria.
Buys measles protection vaccines for 100 kids.
Provides 35 malnourished children with lifesaving nutrition for one day.
1 box of therapeutic food (150 packets) to save a malnourished child.
Buys a bicycle to deliver medicines to extremely isolated places that would not get those medicines otherwise.
A School-in-a-Box to help 40 refugee kids learn and heal.
Buys a pump to provide an entire village clean water.
It’s really amazing how just a $5 could give such life changing assistance to those in need! Please help children around the world by donating! Even just a little bit of change will make a difference! Every penny counts and any amount will be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
