On May 6th I will be running with friends in Vancouver to raise funds for the ALS Society of British Columbia. I am running for two very special people - for my stepmother, Denise, who we lost to ALS in 2017, and for Jory, one of my best friends who was diagnosed with ALS last year.
I chose to run in Vancouver this year to support Jory in his home town. ALS is such a unrelenting disease - it steals your abilities a little bit at a time. Help me fund research to find effective treatments for this affliction and fund the amazing ongoing support that the ALS Societies offer to those affected.
I know that you receive many requests to donate to worthy causes - I hope that you will join me in supporting this one. Stephen Hawking exceptionally lived with ALS for many years - he was an inspiration to us all. Be inspired - any small donation will be greatly appreciated!
