Austin Partners In Education (APIE) serves nearly 2,000 of Austin Independent School District's most at-risk students in an urban public school setting. We are excited to see you here on our Austin GivesMiles page! We hope you'll run (or jog, or walk) for APIE or donate to someone who's running for us. Help us reach our goal of $10,000 to provide academic and mentoring support to economically disadvantaged students in Austin.
Our Math Classroom Coaching program provides academic support for middle school math students by training and deploying hundreds of community volunteers who go into the classroom during the school day to work with students each week. Many volunteers are STEM professionals who occasionally give a "Career Share" presentation to students about their career, helping students connect-the-dots to the education they will need to attain a STEM career.
Our College Readiness program provides academic tutoring and mentoring to students at 10 of Austin ISD’s high schools to help them meet college readiness standards and thereby removing the stifling barrier of taking remedial classes that too many at-risk, minority, low-income and first generation students face when they begin their post-secondary education.
In our Mentoring program, over 900 volunteers work one-on-one with students, serving as positive role models and providing support by building relationships.
Thank you for your support!
