This year, the University of Washington Beta-Psi Chapter and Washington State University Gamma-Mu Chapter will be hosting the 39th Annual Apple Cup Run, in support of the Seal Legacy Foundation.
Created in 1978, the Apple Cup Run revolves around the Apple Cup game, that is set this year on November 25th, 2017, at Husky stadium. The Gamma-Mu Chapter (WSU) will start the run from Martin Stadium, run ~150 miles, and hand the gameball to the Beta-Psi Chapter (UW), where they will run the remaining ~150 miles, and complete the run at Husky Stadium for a total of roughly 300 miles.
The Apple Cup Run will raise funds to help support the SEAL Legacy Foundation (www.SEALLegacy.org). The SEAL Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded by SEALs in 2011 and provides vital support to SEALs and their families during loss, injury and other challenges. All funds raised will go towards the Honored SEAL Legacy Scholarship Program. This program awards annual Named Scholarships for academic and associated costs so that Navy SEALs and their families can further their education without any financial burden.
We are very excited to support such a noble cause!
