Q: Why is CBD raising funds for AAi?
A: Since 2008, AAi has pioneered innovative models for Jewish, Christian and Muslim cooperation to build lasting bridges of understanding and respect while serving the poor together. All donations to this fundraiser will directly support the AAi event that CBD is sponsoring to unite Jews, Christians and Muslims for poverty relief and active peacebuilding and provide the following services:
Event coaching and planning support: AAi staff guides community leaders through all steps and decisions needed to plan and host AAi service events.
Event scheduling: AAi continually initiates the scheduling of a congregation's ongoing service events on dates that work best for all.
Leadership resources: AAi provides key resources, tools, and handouts to organize, structure, and lead service events in ways that honor each community's traditions and practice.
Charitable partnership: AAi partners with charitable organizations that provide holistic services to the homeless, then reserves dates when AAi congregations can volunteer with them together.
Event administration: AAi records decisions, creates event agendas, and provides all supporting documents needed to help insure your event goes smoothly and successfully.
Event promotion and registration: AAi designs and publishes a volunteer registration web page branded with your congregational logo to help promote your event and insure balanced representation with participating congregations.
BuddySystem® formation: AAi creates custom name tags for all registered volunteers to enable quick formation of small groups to get acquainted across community lines before collaboration.
Social media: AAi curates and publishes high quality photo albums of your event: one on Facebook to tag and share widely, and another at events.abrahamicalliance.org for viewing or HD downloads, inspiring a world of onlookers who long to see similar initiatives begin in their locale.
Feedback: AAi elicits and collects feedback from event volunteers, then distributes this to event leaders, helping insure ongoing event quality, creativity, and innovation.
Fundraising assistance: AAi designs and publishes crowdfunding web pages to help congregations raise the funds needed for their service events.
