I'm proud to be running the Boston Marathon in April 2019 for the Arredondo Family Foundation. I chose to run for them, because in November 2017 my cousin Abe, a former army medic, died by suicide. My cousin always had an amazing sense of humor, and so much love for his family and friends, and his sudden absence from this world has been felt so strongly. We all wish we could have prevented this.
Many other veterans are struggling right now with thoughts of suicide, and it is the Arredondo Family Foundations mission to help to prevent military related suicides. Please join me in helping them with their mission. Please read more about them below.

Carlos and Mélida Arredondo founded the Arredondo Family Foundation in 2015 after experiencing difficulties related to the loss of Carlos' two sons. Alex was killed in action while Brian died by suicide. They both noticed that ongoing supports to military families around a suicide death were lacking. This led to the foundation.
The mission of the Arredondo Family Foundation is to empower military families in the prevention of military related suicides and to provide support through education, financial relief and support services.
The foundation provides suicide prevention training primarily for veterans and military families as well as financial support and referrals for military families who have experienced a suicide death.
