The Asian Prisoner Support Committee (APSC) is conducting a fundraiser run on March 25 -- with running teams both inside San Quentin and at the Oakland Running Festival. Please consider making a donation in honor of one of our runners! Funds raised will be used towards our innovative and transformational programs, including:
- Community-based reentry programs led by formerly incarcerated Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
- ROOTS (Restoring Our Original True Selves) program, an Ethnic Studies-based model at San Quentin.
APSC is one of the first and only organizations in the nation to provide direct support to AAPI prisoners and formerly incarcerated people. Over the past four years, the recidivism rate for participants in APSC’s reentry programs is less than 5%. APSC has received awards andrecognition for its innovative programs by the City of Oakland, Alameda Labor Council, Advancing Justice—Asian Law Caucus, and the Association for Asian American Studies.
Thank you for enabling APSC to support our currently and formerly incarcerated community members!
Our fiscal sponsor and AACRE partner, Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA), receives and processes the donations for APSC.
