I am extremely proud to be running the Chicago Marathon this year as a member of UMDF's Team Hope Energy Life. This is the 8th year that UMDF has participated in the marathon as a charity partner. It is my 5th Chicago Marathon, but my first running on behalf of UMDF.
As many of you know, I have been involed with UMDF for over 15 years. My initial attraction to UMDF was as a parent seeking answers for my son Patrick. What I got from UMDF was a community of support from doctors, fellow parents, and staff members.
As a current Board member and past Chairman, I have the privilege of seeing the impact that UMDF is having on an international stage driving advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of mitochondrial disorders while providing compassionate support for individuals and families affected by this disease.
The impact that UMDF is making would not be possible without the generous and ongoing support UMDF recieves from individuals, foundations and corporations.
Please consider making a contribution to UMDF as part of my Chicago Marathon Charity event. I am very grateful for your support.
