5th Annual Hike-A-Thon & 5k Trail Run (new this year!)

The Be Brave for Life Hike-A-Thon is our signature event, created as a way to raise awareness and funds to support innovative research for brain tumor and cavernous malformations (vascular brain lesions).

Vermont's Green Mountains serve as a metaphor to describe the many challenges one faces with this diagnosis. Hence, our hike-a-thon!

The 5k Trail Run is new this year, and it will happen alongside our hike-a-thon and scavenger hunt.

Take a chance! Buy tickets. As is our tradition, we will also sell raffle tickets for chances to win amazing baskets filled with goods and services donated by local vendors and friends of Be Brave.

Hungry? We will have yummy delights available for purchase.

This year we will have no fundraising minimum for the general public, but we hope that each participant or family will do their best to try and raise a minimum of $100 to help support our mission.

The goal of the Be Brave For Life Hike-A-Thon is to support innovative research leading to better treatment options, and ultimately a cure, for these kinds of brain tumors and vascular lesions.

The more money that we raise, the bigger the impact we’re able to make toward making a real difference in the lives of individuals suffering with brain tumors and lesions, and the neurological consequences of their removal.

Since our founding in 2015, we've raised more than $500,000 to support our mission.  As you join in this effort, as you raise funds to create awareness and support research, as you hike or run with us on this day - you will discover the power that comes from being brave!
