Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
This year will be my fourth year running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts in honor of my mother, a brain injury survivor.
In March of 2013 at age 56, my mom suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm, and as is the case with many brain injuries, she will never be the same. In addition to the paraylsis to her right side which restricts her mobility, the aneurysm also affected her speech. She suffers from aphasia and although she is able to comprehend what others are saying, she is unable to articulate her thoughts. There are numerous other things she will never be able to do again - but thanks to all of the support and treatment she has received, she is alive.
I am running this race for brain injury survivors like my mom who are unable to run themselves. I hope to raise awareness as well as money for the BIA-MA so that they can continue to help survivors and their families recover from these devastating injuries.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts is proud to partner once again with the Numbers for Nonprofits Program for the 2019 New Balance Falmouth Road Race. Team BIA-MA has raised over $43,000 in support of our mission - to create better futures for those affected by brain injury!
You can make a difference by making a donation to support our runners.
Together, we are the VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY!
