You're invited to support our 10th Annual Big Fix-A-Thon visting the Town of Barnstable!
The Big Fix-a-Thon is an annual event that supports the impactful work of Housing Assistance Corporation in three ways:
- Raising much-needed funds to enrich and enhance Housing Assistance's existing services.
- Providing assistance to veterans, seniors and disabled homeowners with clean-up, landscaping, and small home repairs.
- Offering a meaningful hands-on experience for volunteers on the day of the event.
Online Registration: All participants are encouraged to register online. *Please note: This year we are accepting volunteers on a first come first served basis because we are limiting the number of volunteers at each Big Fix home to ensure everyone has a productive and positive volunteer experience. Once we reach capacity, we will update our event promotion and invite any additional volunteers to sign up to volunteer at overflow projects in the Town of Barnstable. Deadline to register online is Labor Day (Monday, September 2nd).
Offline Registration: Having trouble registering online? Submit the Big Fix-A-Thon Volunteer Application (Download PDF). *Please note: Since we are limiting the number of volunteers this year on a first come first serve basis, we strongly encourage you to submit your paper application by email or mail ASAP. Deadline to submit your application is Labor Day (Monday, September 2nd).
FIXER WAIVER FORM (Download PDF)
Each participant is required to check that they are compliant with our Big Fix-A-Thon Waiver Form to complete their online registration.
*Youth participants (13-17 years old) must be accompanied by a registered adult Fixer (18 or over) upon arrival to onsite fixer registration and are required to submit the Big Fix-A-Thon Waiver Form (Download PDF) including a parent/guardian signature. Additional copies of the form will be available on event day upon arrival at onsite fixer registration.
Online Donations: Fixers & Fundraisers are encouraged to use their individual or team online fundraising campaign to collect online donations by Friday, October 4th.
Fixers & Fundraisers can track offline donations they receive using the Big Fix-A-Thon Pledge Form (Download PDF). Fixers & Fundraisers are asked to complete the pledge form before you arrive at onsite fixer registration. Collect your pledges when they are made and turn them in at the Big Fix. Make checks payable to Housing Assistance Corp. with Big Fix in the memo line.
Fundraisers who are not participating as Fixers are asked to complete the pledge form and submit the form along with any cash/check donations to Housing Assistance by Friday, October 4th.
Fundraiser Recognition: Fundraisers who raise $250 or more will receive a special hammer lapel pin upon arrival at onsite fixer registration.

Parking: Parking is available onsite at the Barnstable High School
8:00 AM - Fixer Registration / T-Shirt Pick Up Open
8:30 AM Big Fix-A-Thon Welcoming Remarks Followed by Departure to Big Fix Homes
12:00 to 1:00 PM Thank You Lunch at Barnstable High School in the Cafeteria
