Reclaim the past, make a difference today, enlighten the future! Help us celebrate a hidden landmark, the location of the South's first black newspaper, L’Union, and America’s first black daily, the New Orleans Tribune. Thanks to your support, the living museum that is New Orleans will witness an unveiling of the first historical marker in the French Quarter to recognize black achievement and resistance. Multitudes of visitors will soon be inspired by the history and legacy of these groundbreaking journals. Your donation will help fund The Tribute to the Tribune Forum, Unveiling Ceremony, and Reception. Your dollars will go to the marker, permits, facility use, honoria for presenters, event insurance, photography and filming...in short everything to put this landmark on the map and this history in the public memory.
