Hello Friends and Family!
This marks my 9th year with BvB Dallas, and I could not be more passionate about the work we are doing to Tackle Alzheimer's! I hung up my cleats 3 years ago to join the board of directors as an Ambassador- leading our efforts in community outreach and beneficiary communications.
I do all of this in memory of my mom who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's in 2008 and lost her courageous battle last year. She loved to laugh, dance, travel, drink margaritas, and host parties....and I can't help but think she would have loved all things BvB!
Watching Alzheimer's disease steal all of that away was absolutely heartbreaking for everyone. But her contagious laugh and big smile never wavered, and we carry that spirit with us every day now.
In an effort to prevent this to happening to other families in the future, part of the work I do with BvB is executing our grant process to ensure we are funding top notch institutions in Alzheimer's research and care; and I'm excited to announce our 2018 Beneficiaries!
