I am excited to share that I am running the 2018 Chicago Marathon to support an amazing organization. Bottom Line was founded in 1997 right here in Boston and in 20 years have expanded to serve low-income students in Worcester, New York and Chicago.
Bottom Line's mission is to help low income, first generation students get into college, graduate from college, and go far in life. Their unique and meaninigful vision is to dramatically transform urban communities by producing thousands of new career-ready college graduates.
This is a very personal fundraiser for me, because as a teacher in Brockton I see the effects of educational non-profits and the impact they have on our students. Organizations such as Bottom Line provide not only academic and professional support, but also resources so assure that students experience growth and success.
The organization is a non-profit and has seen amazing success in it's 20 years. Last year, they celebrated having their 2,200th graduate from the program. Please help me in supporting a program that has seen tremendous success and is continuing to grow and support our neighbors.
