In 2018, we were given our first chance to see Haiti firsthand. While Andrea was able to help, and run along with, the runners as a member of the Cheer Squad, I was able to finish the full 2018 Run Across Haiti. We were able to cross the country, experience the culture, and even got to see Menelas – the community that Work supports with all the dollars we fundraise. It was an experience that we cherished and looked forward to being a part of again. As it turns out – we were selected for 2019 to go back and do it all over again. This year comes with new excitement in that both Andrea and I are going to be a part of the race. Together, we will cross Haiti as part of a relay team with another Pittsburgh runner! Work has been dedicated in their pursuit to helping Menelas climb its way out of poverty. Between helping our Haitian families find dignified jobs, to health care, to ensuring Menelas’ children receive an education, Work is helping Haiti help itself. Andrea and I have a goal of raising $12,000. As we continue to train, we ask that you join our 2019 journey by helping us be a part of Work’s mission.
