The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota was founded in 1954 by a group of dedicated doctors and social workers to address concerns about challenges facing people with seizures. Today, EFMN offers services across Minnesota and eastern North Dakota to those facing the challenges of epilepsy. EFMN also serves the broader community by fostering a better understanding of epilepsy, promoting basic seizure training, and raising awareness of how common it is to experience a seizure. An estimated 60,000 people in our region have epilepsy and our vision is that each of them will reach their full potential. EFMN is an affiliate of the national Epilepsy Foundation.
Crown Rally is a driving & navigational adventure that gathers like-minded enthusiasts for a weekend experience unlike anything else. 2018 will take 100 teams through 750 miles of backcountry roads with top-secret checkpoints, racetracks, and city-wide takeovers. True to our founding principles, each Crown Rally event benefits a charity that supports a local cause. In the last 2 years we’ve generated over $100,000 in donations for the Epilepsy Foundation and Kars4Kids via the #rally4acause initiative. They crushed their fundraising goals in 2017 and expect to do so again as they aim for $75,000 and 35 cars donated in 2018.
CarQueenz is an all women based car enthusiast club with over 500 members and 1000 followers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and surrounding Midwest areas. The club was founded in January of 2015 by two women who loved cars. As a car enthusiast group, we are dedicated to not only making our cars functional but also have a passion for anything that makes us unique. Working as a team for the last few years, we have become a huge family that loves to get involved with the community. The season opener event that we hosted spring 2017 was a charity event; we donated all proceeds to the Wheels for Women. We also hosted a Fundraiser for Veterans in September 2016. We are looking to do more events in the next few years dedicated to helping and leaving a positive mark on the community. Last year we have hit many milestones including growing our member base and being active in community. Our Car Shows usually include fifteen different car groups from around the state, with over four hundred cars and several spectators.
