When my cat Elsa arrived at Cat Town in 2016, she'd already been passed over by a number of other organizations who saw her as too difficult, too risky to take on. But not Cat Town.
Cat Town recognized that she was struggling at the shelter. They took her in, and although her progress was slow, she was free to take the time she needed to feel safe and comfortable around people. Now, in our home, she is a total lap cat, demanding love and attention at every turn. It's hard to imagine, but without Cat Town, Elsa may have never made it out of the shelter.
My story is one of so many. Time and time again, shelter cats deemed unadoptable by other rescues have revealed themselves to be devoted companions with love, time, and patience thanks to Cat Town's mission. Whether they need a comfortable place to heal from illness or injury, or just somewhere to escape the stress of the chaotic shelter, Cat Town is always there.
Right now, the shelter is filling up with cats who need a chance — and I know from experience those cats have one option: Cat Town.
So, I hope you'll join me in the 2018 Saving Pets Challenge, an opportunity to help the next Elsa find her second chance through Cat Town. Every dollar makes a difference, and can even help us earn chances to win bonus Challenge prize money. Let's change lives, together.
