Every week hundreds of horses at auctions all over the country are sold by the pound to killbuyers to either go to slaughter or the kill lots. We urgently need your help to keep those horses out of the auctions and out of the kill buyers hands and off the slaughter truck.
CVHR's Auction to Adoption program takes horses from the auction to a safe and loving new home. I know that you would be at the auction, bidding on the horses if you could be. It's hard. It's hard to leave so many behind there.
Horses like Mob Rule who was pulled from the auction and recently moved into his new loving home. He was priced at killer pricing and would have certainly ended up on one of the feedlots or at slaughter.
Instead, he will be spending his holiday in his own stall with all the hay he can eat and his loving family.
With your help we can save so many more in 2018. In 2017, we brought in 32 horses and adopted 28 horses out. We would like to double that number in 2018 and with your help and support we can do it.
We are competing in the Newman's Own Foundation this holiday season. Your donations can help us win one of the weekly challenge grants. Please give generously and share widely among your friends. We can only do this with your help!
