Meteorologist Chris Cozart joined the Live Doppler 10 Storm Team weather team in 2011. He grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he always loved watching the weather, especially severe storms. At Chris’s Kindergarten graduation he told everyone that he would be a weatherman when he grew up and now he is living that dream.Chris attended The Ohio State University, where he received his Bachelors in Atmospheric Science in 2009. Once he graduated from OSU he returned home to become a weather producer for WKRC for two years. At WKRC he fine-tuned his abilities, not only in front of the camera, but with his forecasting skills also. Chris is thrilled to to be working at KLFY and enjoys all of what Acadiana has to offer. When he’s not looking at weather maps and forecasting, Chris spends his times watching sports, playing golf or looking for the best hamburger in America. You can watch Meteorologist Chris Cozart on KLFY’s Passe Partout and News 10 at Noon Monday through Friday.

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF ACADIANA!
Our Vision: That all children achieve success in life
Our Mission: Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
Accountability Statement: We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving:
• Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships
• Avoidance of risky behaviors
• Educational success We are always in need of more volunteers to donate their time by becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister in our program. Our need for male volunteers is especially great due to the almost 60 boys in our program waiting to be matched with a Big Brother. Volunteers will commit to being a Big Brother or BigSister for at least 12 months in either our Community-Based Program or our Site-Based program.
If catching a ball game, spending a day in the park, watching a movie or just hanging out sharing laughs sounds fun, this program is for you. You’ll get to act like a kid again and both your lives will be forever changed by the experience. Volunteers will pick up their Little at least twice a month from the home to spend time together.
For Bigs able to break away from the office for lunch or who enjoy a set schedule for meeting their Little, this opportunity matches you with a Little in a local school. All it takes is visiting your Little once a week at a school to have lunch, play computer games, read books or just talk.
