I will be traveling to Ghana this Christmas break for 3 weeks to start up a clean water business. This will be an awesome opportunity to help lead a development project on the ground overseas! This project goes hand in hand with what I have been studying in grad school this last year and a half. I will be working with an NGO called Saha Global. They have 8 years of experience in this region and have had great success. With over 100 clean water businesses started by Saha Global representatives, all are still in operation to date. Access to clean water is a huge need as only 40% of people in our targeted community have access to clean drinking water. This translates into consequences for health as it is easy to get sick from contaminated water, and this keeps kids from attending school and can keep people from work. My goal is to start a clean water business that not only will be a source of healthy drinking water for a community, but also a reliable source of income for a local Ghanian who will run the business. I am fundraising for the startup costs for the business and some of my in-country travel expenses. Would you please consider giving to our project and bringing clean water to a community in need?
