David Wilson turns 70 this year. As friends, relatives and employees began to think of ways to honor this remarkable man, they realized that no mere gift would be adequate to express their love and admiration. David's involvement in the hearts and lives of those around him, especially those in need, goes far beyond any dollar amounts or specific number of hours. It is a way of life for him.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So what better way to honor a man that has spent his entire life giving to others - than to follow his example, and give to those in need.
As Hurricanes Harvey and then Irma ravaged the Southern U.S., David stepped up and donated $10,000 to help the victims of these heartbreaking disasters. Toyota North America matched that $10,000 - for a total of $20,000 to the survivors of these terrible tragedies. It is our goal, as his friends and associates, to match David's $10,000 once again, proving that we have learned what his life has taught us:
True greatness is found not in what you have - it is in what you give.
