A mentoring organization dedicated to helping the underprivileged elevate themselves and community around them through education and career opportunities. CBMLA (Concerned Black Men Los Angeles) mission is to implement programs and provide an organization that will mentor our youth of black and brown communities throughout the Los Angeles County area to thrive in a country where opportunities for children of color are so far and few. Established in 2003. We filled the void of positive black male role models in many communities, providing mentors and programs that affirmed the care and discipline that all youth need while providing opportunities for academic and career enrichment. Today, we seek charitable donations to not only to win this competition but to maintain our current programs while establishing new ones for our growing number of youth joining yearly. Recently, we created ELP (Emerging Leaders Program) a college-prep, leadership program aimed at providing adolescent boys of color opportunities to engage in academic and leadership development. Through a series of workshops and field trips that our teens have been able to experience through charitable donations provided by folks like you. Now, to maintain our current programs and continue developing new ones like ELP, we ask you, our champion donors, for any small contribution. Helping us win this competition and advance our mission of becoming a staple for guidance, education, and the betterment of our underprivileged youth in the city Los Angeles.
