PUBLIC LANDS ARE OUR LANDS. And it is up to us to protect them.
Across the West, the Administration’s review of our national monuments threatens to eliminate protections for millions of acres of lands that support healthy wildlife habitat, clean water, cultural artifacts, hiking and biking trails as well as hunting and fishing grounds.
In Utah's Bears Ears National Monument, we risk losing protections for for hundreds of thousands of archaeological sites that have immeasurable spiritual importance for Native American Tribes. Left unchecked, the Administration could recind protections over 95% of the 1.3 million-acre Monument.
Public lands belong to each and every American, but that’s not all – . Protecting them today ensures that our children and grandchildren will have incredible places to discover and explore.
I know you value the conservation legacy our public lands hold for all of us – and
