In 2003, one woman had the idea of helping homeless pets in her neighborhood. She never knew that 15 years later, her idea would have grown to over 100 volunteers caring for nearly 700 pets each year through foster homes and a small capacity shelter.
For our Saving Pets Challenge this year, Coastal Pet Rescue is gearing up a capital campaign to fundraise $25,000 towards housing improvements at our shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat. As it is now, our large dogs have to relocate from the shelter when temperatures get too low or too high as the building is not fully enclosed. With the upgrades, dog houses will be replaced and central heating and air conditioning added. We also have some runs that need concrete repairs, wood replaced, fencing fixed. We estimate that the upgrades will allow us to increase the intake capacity of Camp Pawsawhile Retreat for large dogs by at least 25 more than what we are currently doing.
This is a big project that will take big help. No donation is too small. This is your chance to really help us change more lives for homeless pets.
