Please join Nicholas Rice, Christopher Manning and Ryan Kushner as we attempt to climb Dhaulagiri, the 7th tallest peak in the world at an elevation of 26,795ft (8091m) to support the Himalayan Cataract Project (HCP). The expedition will take place between April 5th and May 27th of 2018.
HCP is a global nonprofit that works to eradicate preventable and curable blindness in the developing world with a steadfast commitment to training local providers and working with partners to leverage impact.
Imagine being able to help cure blindness for people in beautiful places like Nepal, with a simple cataract surgery that takes as little as 10 minutes and costs about per eye. A suggested donation is per every 1000 ft above sea level that we reach on Dhaulagiri with a suggested additional bonus donation if one of us reaches the summit without the aid of supplemental oxygen. Our trips are funded completely by ourselves meaning 100% of donations go entirely to helping cure blindness in Nepal and are tax deductible as well. Check out the incredible work of the two doctors who co-founded this organization and its mission on 60 minutes!
