After hearing “you have cancer” not once but twice, I’ve decided to live each day to the fullest. C2C4C has been a highlight on this journey and I plan to use this experience to motivate myself to move forward and turn this negative experience into a positive.
Unfortunately, I have lost many family members to cancer but my true dedication is to my amazing, caring mother, Norma, who lost her life to ovarian cancer. My mother was the strongest, most loving person. She lost her own mother to cancer so it was her mission to be the best mom she could be, and she lived up to that and was beyond special. Her favorite saying was “this too shall soon pass” and I found myself saying this during all my treatments.
I pray for cancer patient’s everyday because this disease is so horrible and I don’t want their battles to be in vain. I hope that my experience with C2C4C will inspire others to jump out of their comfort zone and to raise awareness by fundraising and volunteering their time to continuously help fund research to find a cure for cancer.
My message to cancer
Cancer you will be eradicated from my soul and all of those affected by this nasty disease.
