You, too, can Help SAVE Planet Earth!
For nearly 30 years, the annual Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Solar & Green Home Tour has been helping thousands of people across the Washington DC metro area -- and beyond -- learn about the many benefits of solar energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicles and other green technologies. In addition, attendees of the "DC Solar Tour" can also learn about the best ways to "go solar", improve their home's energy efficiency, and to live a truly sustainable lifestyle.
The 28th Annual Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Solar & Green Home Tour features over 40 Solar & Green Homes, which will be open to the public on Saturday & Sunday, October 6th & 7th, 2018, from 11am to 5pm.
Perhaps best of all, the DC Solar Tour is intentionally designed as a non-for-profit, commercial-free, educational event, where neighbors can simply learn directly from their neighbors who have already "gone solar" and otherwise "greened" theirs homes. It's just neighbors helping neighbors.
Get your Guide with Map at www.solartour.org. Note: each Guide serves as a Ticket for a family or small group, but feel free to get extras for friends, neighbors, colleagues and others.
How Can You Help?
Because the Tour is non-commercial, we must rely on the generous support of those who share our vision of creating a truly sustainable world for all.
In short, we believe that we still have the ability to mitigate adverse climate change and save planet Earth's ecosystems before it's too late. The DC Solar Tour is a great opportunity for everyone to learn how. But to achieve our goals, we need your help.
Our request is very simple:
First, please help support this important educational event with your Tax-Deductible Donation.
Second, please share this campaign and other information about the DC Solar Tour will all of your friends, neighbors, colleagues, local business leaders, legislators at all levels, students, and other members of the community. We need everybody's help, so please invite EVERYBODY!
Third, if you expect to be in the DC area during the first weekend in October, we invite you to take the DC Solar Tour, and don't forget to bring along your friends.
The Tour is FREE, and you can also download a FREE electronic copy of the Guide (in PDF format) at www.solartour.org. Of course, don't forget to invite everyone to join you for a day or two of adventure, fun and learning.
Lastly, let's all make a Personal Commitment and Action Plan to live sustainably for the benefit of all creatures with whom we share this planet. MASES is here to help, and we welcome you to join our serious but fun-loving group at www.mases.org.
