So excited to be running my first marathon in Chicago, October 2018!! I'm even more excited to be fund raising for the American Institute of Cancer Research (AICR) - the reason is personal. My father died of cancer at the very young age of 64 and I am compelled to help others kick cancer's butt! Research shows a direct relation to physical activity, diet and weight management, and the risk of developing cancer. It is estimated that approximately 1/3 of the most common cancers can be prevented simply by eating healthy, being physically active and maintaining a healthy weight. The AICR funds cutting-edge research to give people practical tools and information to help them prevent — and survive — cancer. It is an amazing organzation that is working for all of us and for future generations to overcome the devasting impacts of cancer. I hope you will support my crazy endeavor to run 26.2 miles by contributing to AICR. No amount is too small - It all adds up!
