Identity theft and data breaches are on the rise. Year after year we see increases in theft due to insecure data management practices. With education and easy-to-use tools, we can change this trend.
The ARMA International Pittsburgh PA Chapter is hosting a shred event in the parking lot of Giant Eagle at Settlers Ridge (100 Settlers Ridge Center Dr, McKees Rocks, PA 15205) on June 2nd from 9am-1pm Access and Clarabyte Solutions will be providing complimentary data destruction services to businesses and the community in support of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. The focus is to promote secure information disposition practices and offer the tools for securely managing information at the end of it's useful life.
On the day of the event, Access will be collecting boxes of sensitive documents and hard drives to be shredded at $5 and $10 each, respectively. Clarabyte will offer 1 free demo license per customer, which may be used to erase 1 hard drive, including solid state drives.
Visit www.clarabyte.com/destroyalldata to download your free demo. Proceeds will be donated to the GPCFB.
Since the Food Bank has bulk buying power, the dollar goes further. This unique way of protecting your sensitive information is a great way to donate. Otherwise, feel free to donate directly to this campaign.
