It all started with a run - one single run on a clear evening. On that evening after a long day, Don went for a run to clear his head and enjoy the "me" time. During that run, he thought how fortunate he was to be able to get up and run off the day's stress. He began to think of all the people he knew who didn't have that luxury, who couldn't get up and run or walk. He thought of his loved ones and friends who've been touched by cancer either personally or within their own family. In his family alone, the number was too high to count. Many, many loved ones have fought this disease - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and even his mother at the age of 80. He decided to turn his running into research, into medicine, into a cure. Every July, Don runs a 10K race to raise money for cancer research. During that run, he carries with him a paper that has the names of each and every donor and cancer victim that he knows on it. For Don, it's not HIS race, it's OURS. Together, we all run the race with him, and everyone crosses that finish line. In honor of those who have been touched by cancer, we began our mission to help fight this terrible disease after that single run in 2014. Since then, we’ve celebrated a few milestones–like raising over $11,000. But the best news of all is that Don's mother, diagnosed at the age of 80, BEAT BREAST CANCER. She BEAT breast cancer! At 83, she is still cancer free. We thank God everyday that because of people like you, donating to cancer research, she had access to best care and treatment out there. For every survivor, there’s a chain of donations behind them. This is a call to action. To band together and fight in every way we possibly can. Join us in this fight. Share our cause with your friends and family on social media, through emails, by word of mouth, any way you can. No amount is too small, even $5 can help. Look what we've done since that first race! Together, we can make the difference between losing the battle and kicking its ass. Let’s finish stronger than ever before!
