Hey Friends & Family,
Thanks so much for even clicking through to this page and reading my campaign story :) It's always been a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon, and it's extremely important to me to run for a charity organization that aligns with my personal missions of supporting children in need, empowering women, and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle for all.
Dream Big! works to provide girls from low-income situations with the equipment, uniforms, sports attire, athletic footwear, program fees, training expenses, sports opportunities and the supplies they need to participate in sports and physical activities that contribute to their health, education and overall well-being. How cool is that????
While you're considering donating to support this amazing cause and help me reach my goal of $10K, think about how your childhood, middle school, high school, and college sports teams, as well as post-grad/adult exercise communities have shaped you today. I truly believe that being active since I was young has pushed me to become the committed, team-driven professional I am today - and has enabled me to maintain a 'never-give-up' attitude when life throws its curve balls.
Some donating perspectives (see how even $10 can help):
$35 will purchase a regulation soccer ball or basketball
$75 will purchase a new pair of sneakers or cleats
$100 pays for an 8-week dance or fitness class for 1 girl
$200 pays for a new bike and helmet
$500 pays for a week-long summer sports camp
$1,000 pays for new uniforms, equipment and training for an entire sports team
$2,500 pays for physical education equipment for one full year for hundreds of children in an elementary or middle school
$10,000 pays for a new community based sports program for 100 female athletes
So THANK YOU x10 for reading this, and as you support the 2018 Dream Big! Boston Marathon Team in my quest to reach the Boston Marathon finish line and fundraising goals, please know that you are changing the lives of so many incredible girls and young women.
