CDi - Community Development International, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is active in the fields of reforestation and sustainable agriculture. We operate programs and farmer exchanges between the U.S. and Haiti. Guypson Catalis, our repeat farmer exchange participant at New Earth Farm in Virginia Beach, has returned to Haiti to launch his Eden Agricultural School! Employing 8 part-time teachers and 2 administrative staff, the school has 20 students currently enrolled in its inaugural cohort. Guypson is a man of will, many talents, and ambition: He single-handedly started this project paying expenses to date out of pocket. This includes seeds, seed trays, various tools and construction materials to build a roofed school house on his Nouvo Tè Farm property in Les Cayes, Haiti. Now is the time for you to help us help him teach his community in sustainable agricultural techniques, to empower and feed folks, and to sustain the first 12 months of teacher salary. Our fund raiser also calls for some other initial capital investments, incluidng for the construction of a much needed composting latrine to be used by students and staff. Please support this commendable person and his vision to provide food and education to his community! Thank You!
