E4S is creating the next generation of changemakers!
Education for Sharing’s (E4S) mission is to form better citizens from childhood through the power of play. We turn our students into agents of change with broader perspectives on current social issues who are equipped with the sharpened skills and values that allow them to become leaders capable of offering innovative solutions and having lasting positive impacts on their communities. Within the United States we currently operate out of Washington D.C. and bring enrichment level to all children, regardless of ability or socio-economic level.
Our programs focus on our core civic values (empathy, gender equality, tolerance, teamwork) and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. All of our programs utilize our unique methodology: play, reflect, and act. Students, led by their teachers, play a game or do an experiment connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Next, the group reflects on what they learned, how it connects to the global challenge and questions they still have. The sessions close with a discussion of actions each student can take in their own communities to effect positive change. Throughout the program E4S and the partner school host a family night, ambassador session and bring in inspirational community figures to talk to the students.
We run our programs in DC public schools, charter schools, after school centers and summer camps. To date we have worked with over 8,000 beneficiaries in DC.
Our programs are concerned with the social-emotional development of young people. We want students to not only be aware of global challenges but to also be kind, strong citizens. Are you with us?
