As most of you know our son Brandon Elam was diagnosed with Medullablastoma (a brain tumor) that had metastasized to his spine at the age of 13. He battled for 3 yrs and passed away at the age of 16 on 10/2/04. He fought a long hard battle. His only thing he ask of us was to make sure he was never forgotten and that we would do what we could to end cancer. Scott, Brooke and I have done many things over the past 10 yrs to try and grant his wish to end cancer. One of the things we have done is this walk for (Camp Care) an awesome camp for kids with cancer, kids that battled cancer and beat it, and for their siblings. It is a free camp for all the kids.
It has been very hard since Scott passed away for me to get out there and do the things we always did as a team, but I feel like it’s something I still have to do. With our family and friends that have been there since the day Brandon was diagnosed and the many years since it keeps us going and especially since Scott has passed away it keeps me going.
I hope you will be able to join our team again and walk with us on Sat 4/21/18. If you cannot join us in the walk any donations would be so appreciated.
