The weekend of November 2nd I will be walking…and walking…and walking as far as I can during a continuous 24 hour period. Exactly how far is to be determined by my feet and certain logistical considerations. And for the people that asked me "why not running?" I have this to say...why...why would anyone do that...is there a colony of European hare chasing you? (and don't mock those things can get up to 72 miles per hour).
My plan of attack will either involve an urban exploration of the Portland, OR and Forest Park...the greatest urban park EVER!
The idea of this event is that all participants will take part in some activity over a 24 hour period and accomplish as much of whatever their chosen activity is…thus the endurance part of the equation. And for whom and I doing this...why Random Acts of course! For all of you who were so supportive during my Haiti adventure, this is the same organization that I went to Haiti with!
I am going to hike as far as I can in that 24 hour period, some of it on good old fashioned roads and some of it in the forest…basically I am going to keep going until my feet start screaming…as I figure if my feet are try to audibly communicate with me in any way it is time to stop!
As an added treat there will be a video/photo montage at the end of all this!
So there are two ways to contribute, you can make a one time donation for whatever amount you choose or you can sponsor me per mile, which if you choose the later, just let me know by completeing this form:
Once I am done I will inform you of my milage and how to make your donation.
Thank you everyone for continuing to support me and Random Acts!

Endure 4 Kindness (E4K) is a global endurance event. Participants are invited to pick an activity and invite their friends, family and members of the local community to pledge money for them to do it. The more you do the more you'll raise and the more acts of kindness you'll help fund.
Last year hundreds of people all around the world came together to take part in the first ever Random Acts endurance event. A huge amount of fun was had, as well as money raised so that we can continue to conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time.
So much fun was had we’ve decided to do it again!
The money raised will ensure Random Acts can continue to fund and support random acts of kindness across the world.
E4K will take place over the weekend November 2-3. Please join our team and commit to enduring for kindness. Full information about this event can be found here.
