I am running in honor of my Dad and all those who suffer from this horrible disease. Initially, I didn’t want to run or raise money because when my dad was sick it felt so hopeless and i didnt want to feel that grief again. My dad was my superhero from the day I was born and for 7 months I had to watch as his body shut down.
However, I realized that many people are going through exactly what I did and this is a excellent opportunity to support them too.
The ALS foundation provides support and assistance for all families dealing with this disease. Without them my dad wouldn't have gotten the support he needed.
My goal is to raise $2,000 for The Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Foundation.
