National Dog Day is on Sunday, but every day is dog day at All Breed Rescue! Every day we receive pleas to rescue dogs and puppies from desperate situations; every day we look into the eyes of the dogs in our shelter and strive to provide them with the best possible care; every day we work as hard as we can to stretch our resources to help as many as possible; and every day we go home knowing that we’ve made a difference and wake up knowing that the work never ends.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us care for the dogs that depend on us. No amount is too small and every little bit helps us to save more lives. The needs of our dogs, our community, and our rescue partners are constantly changing, and our goal is to be ready to step in and help as quickly and efficiently as possible.
$10 buys a case of wet food to feed puppies and dogs with allergies or dental health problems.
$50 buys flea and tick preventative, so that our dogs can play outside without picking up any unwanted friends.
$500 covers the cost of treatment for a Heartworm positive dog, so that they can arrive in Vermont ready to start their new life happy and healthy.
And the list goes on and on. Each dog comes to us with a unique backstory and your help allows us to be prepared as we work to meet their individual needs. Caring for the dozens of dogs in our shelter and making plans to pull others out of harm’s way is never an easy job, but our staff and volunteers are empowered to do it by the support of our wonderful community.
We hope that one day our work is no longer needed, that every dog is loved and cared for and has a safe place to lay their head. But until that day comes, we rely on the kindness and generosity of people like you. Thank you!
