Orphans with special needs in Ukraine are the most undervalued and ignored in their society. They are shut away in orphanages. These orphanages often struggle to get them the medical treatment they desperately need.
For four months Maya's Hope has been funding a doctor to work in a rural institution in Ukraine. In a short time, big improvements have already taken place. The overall health status of the children has improved and is being monitored much more closely than before.
Our doctor has also been able to secure a visit from an experienced ophthalmologist.
The ophthalmologist has recommended eye surgery for 3 of the children- Vasyl, Yuriy and Volodya. Vasyl currently has minimal vision and surgery may give him a chance to see the world! And surgery will prevent Volodya and Yuriy's vision from deteriorating.
Sight is so very precious. We have the chance to make a huge difference to the lives of 3 orphans. Please help us meet our goal for these surgeries.
