When your child with a disability transitions into adulthood, where are the options that offer inclusion without judgement, and a promise of continuous learning and future employment?
Homesteads for Hope of course...
Homesteads for Hope is a nonprofit Community Farm serving transitioning young adults of all abilities with a distinctive place to learn, work, live and grow in Rochester, NY. The Forever Homestead as of 2016, is beautiful 55 acre farm that sits on the wide waters of the Historic Erie Canal and is developing a Community of inclusion that supports continuous learning, job training and life skills that grows peoples abilities to be independent and successful in greater society.
That's right.... we are a farm, that grows people's abilities and talents....
We have had the support of Newman's Own Foundation to launch our programs here in 2017 - and now we are challenging YOU to help us GROW in 2018.
We need you now, more than ever, to bridge the gap for the next season to secure necessary funding for operational expenses, and continue program development. We need your help to grow the Farm's facilities including the building of the Market Classroom & Store, and to remodel the Estate Home to function as another skills based classroom with certified kitchen and a separate transitional student apartment.
We need your HOPE for the Holidays - Give the gift of GROWTH this holiday season!
