I do quite a bit of volunteering with homeless charities and I have been talking you a guy and I find it interesting then meeting a new LGBT+ friends how they knew/discovered that they are LGBT+. So we was talking about it and he said about how his family is Jehovah's Witness and that came out to them as a way of escaping from the religion. He was then kicked out of his house and when he turned up at the council* they phoned his parents as he was underage (16) and they since he was welcome to come home but neglected to say if he stop being how god made him. This means he in law intentionally made himself homeless and therefore couldn't do anything. He was there for effectively Homeless fast forward a bit and he is 19 and managed to get a job and a place but is in a lot of debt with rent, it is under control now and he is very slowly paying it off but works all the time for minimum wage with next to no social life and not a lot for food and stuff.
I would love to surprise him with it paid off so he can have just as much of a chance has anybody else would have done if they wouldn't kicked out of the house at 16.
*for a government funded house as he was 16 they will providing with a B&B until permanent accommodation is available.
