Foster Care Support Foundation (FCSF) provides free clothing, toys, infant equipment, school supplies and other basic care items to newborns through teens placed in foster care homes in every county in Georgia. Although foster parents receive a stipend to provide for foster children, the allowance does not cover the cost of all basic needs. There are also thousands of grandparents and other relative caregivers who struggle financially because they receive little to no assistance after taking in children to keep them from entering the foster care system. The resources provided by FCSF help families remain financially stable and provide basic care items for vulnerable children who have been displaced through no fault of their own.
With the help of the generous community, FCSF serves 3,600 - 4,000 children per year and has served 54,000 children since incorporation in 2000. FCSF does not receive any government funding and is the only organization of its kind in the country.
