Have you ever had the person ahead of you in a drive-thru pay for your order? It’s one of the best feelings! And such a great example that a small act of kindness goes a long way in spreading cheer and hope.
We invite you to join us for the second Free Parking Day benefiting families at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Imagine this: a parent or visitor pulls up to the garage attendants, hands them their ticket, and instead of a dollar amount flashing on the sign, they hear these words. “Your parking was paid for by helloHOPE!”
How free parking spreads hope
As a family walks through the tests, treatments, fears, and burdens associated with a diagnosis, you can help them remember that they are not alone and that provision can come from the most unexpected places. The small gesture of paying for parking might be just the pick-me-up that someone needs to hold onto hope for the day.
Our goal for free parking day
We’ve set our goal at $6,000 for this campaign, which will enable us to pay for the parking for every car that goes through the Egleston and Scottish Rite campus decks on June 7, 2018.
The crowd-funding platform this year offers 5 preset donation levels, though you can customize your amount should you prefer to do so. To guide your giving, this is what each level goes toward:
- $25 - Make someone's day (sponsor five cars)
- $50 - Make a splash (sponsor ten cars)
- $100 - Make some waves (sponsor twenty cars)
- $250 - Be a parking partner (sponsor an hour of free parking)
- $500 - Be a parking pillar (an important foundation for the campaign)
Will you join us? Let’s spread hope!
We believe that every day heroes are all around us in the form of children fighting a diagnosis, parents advocating for their children, and medical professionals pouring their energy into those they serve. We exist to provide hope-filled stories and resources to families walking through medical adversity. If you’d like to find out more about how you can get involved, share our resources, or even nominate a family to be featured on our website, visit us at https://www.hellohope.com.
helloHOPE is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, so donations are tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.
