We are the Friends of the Rouge (FOTR) - a local, community driven nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1986 to raise awareness about the need to clean up the Rouge River in southeast Michigan.
After thirty-one years serving our community and the greater Rouge Watershed, we continue to do the work our founders set out to do - restore and protect the Rouge River!
This year, we combined our year-end-appeal with a unique opportuity to leverage additional funds through Newman's Own Holiday Charity Challenge. As a member of the Rouge watershed, or someone who has many memories tied to southeast Michigan - YOU can make all the difference to improving the health of the Rouge River.
This year, your contribution will go the extra River mile in making sure that our river will be paddlable and fishable - that your contribution will help stop the spread of invasive, eco-destroying fish - that your contribution will educate a local child about their impact and future contribution to the health of the River that runs through their backyard.
YOU make all the difference.
