In a world of streaming and multiplexes, the Brattle Theatre stands out as a unique gem of a cinema, staying true to its roots as a venue to see innovative and essential films since 1953.
The Brattle Theatre has been near and dear to my heart for over half my life. There aren't many places left where you can see classic films, foreign flicks, and independent pictures in the manner in which they were meant to be seen: on the big screen!
Since 2001, the Brattle Theatre has operated as an independent non-profit celebrating film as a popular and fine art form with cultural and historic importance that excites, educates, and inspires community. We are very fortunate to have such a special place like the Brattle but it would exist without the generous support of moviegoers and benefactors.
