This year CAI wants to help dedicated students rise above the barriers of poverty, conflict, and social stigmas to achieve their dreams. With your help, we can educate much needed future leaders. In Central Asia girls and women face poverty, unimaginable hardship, and dangerous threats each day.
Imagine yourself as:
Ayperi was raised by a single mother. Her dream of becoming a lawyer would be a fantasy without the help of a CAI scholarship.
Feroza was told not to go to work and to stay home by members of a militant group.
Syeda left her abusive husband, became a single mother, and knew she needed to find a way to support her daughter.
Taskeen thought her dreams of becoming a doctor were shattered after losing a leg when an earthquake destroyed her home. These women all dreamed of a world that was different, believing education was the key to change. These women represent the hundreds of deserving scholarship students who will rise together to change the future. This year alone more than 700 students need your help. Help them become a part of a movement, where girls and women go to school, fight ignorance, demand justice, and make their voices heard.
Community TrustCAI’s scholarship program is based on our philosophy to start with the needs of the community first. Community leaders in the areas we serve provide insight on families in need of assistance, help students with the application process, and identify promising new candidates.
Scholarships for AllRecipients range from kindergarten to Ph.D. students, ensuring that bright young children have the foundation to excel and women have the support to push boundaries into new fields.
Thinking Beyond TuitionIn developing countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan it is important to consider financial and cultural barriers to education. Our scholarships take a holistic approach to create a successful environment for all students, sometimes covering travel expenses, room and board, and stipends for those students who come from low-income families.
$1,236 sends a girl to university for a year. Together we can help them rise and achieve their dreams. Every $1 makes a difference.
