Tai needs your help. Make sure Tai doesn't grow up in a horrible horrible world. Donate. A buck, twenty, a couple hundred, a million. Whatever you've got. Hand it over. Seriously.
About six months ago I started a new job at a local nonprofit, Advancing Justice - ALC. It's the nation's oldest Asian American civil rights organization. We provide free legal services to low income individuals (anyone and everyone), and help create legislation that protects immigrants and families like mine and probably yours. We help grandma not get evicted, help that cook making your Burmese food earn a fair wage, stop the government from making a religious registry, and to make this world a little more just, and beautiful, and safe.
Help people,. Skip black friday and opt for Giving Tuesday. Be selfless, and enjoy the benefits of gratitude, both for what you have and what you can give others.
If anything, look at Tai's face. He's worth it.
