PEDAL FOR PREVENTION
The YMCA is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals of all ages through fitness, wellness, aquatics and also spirit, mind and body programs. Just as important is the YMCA’s work to address serious health issues with chronic disease prevention and recovery programs.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a FREE program that offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activites focused on strengthening the whole person to help them toward recovery.
Please join us on Saturday, April 14th at the Great South Bay YMCA as we "Pedal for Prevention" to improve health and wellness and overall quality of life across Long Island. Together we can raise $7,500 to help 30 cancer survivors rebuild muscle, improve overall health, and gain access to well-being support over a 12 week session of LIVESTRONG.
