PROVIDING VITAL SERVICES TO WEST VALLEY RESIDENTS FOR OVER 35 YEARS.
Arizona has one of the nation’s largest senior populations, and the number of seniors is projected to triple within the next fifty years. In this state alone, about 1 in 12 people over the age of 65 are living in poverty, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Thousands more are on the brink, and social services cannot meet the rising demand.
Our Meals on Wheels and Dining Room Meals Programs are a life-sustaining outreach to this growing population of low-income and homebound elderly. The YWCA Valley West Center is the provider of Meals on Wheels within the cities of Glendale and El Mirage. Meals on Wheels clients receive a hot meal five days a week, Monday through Friday, with weekend frozen meals available.
