Hurricane Harvey in Texas is a catastrophic disaster that has left thousands of people homeless. Even though the heavy rain is over, large parts of Texas remain under significant amounts of flood water. In addition, the 118,000 residents living in the city of Beaumont have no access to clean running water. In fact, CNN has reported that at least 37 people have lost their lives to Hurricane Harvey. This is a very emotional and challenging time for all of us. The American Red Cross is continuously and tirelessly working to help people who have been seriously impacted by this natural disaster. We ask that you please make a donation to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Your donation will provide them a warm place to sleep, dry clothes, hot food, and a caring community to lean on. Every dollar helps! The Hood College Red Cross is in firm support of the American Red Cross.
